The 2018 Honda Accord kicks off the tenth generation with a complete redesign inside and out. A stylish exterior and more spacious interior aren’t all this popular midsize sedan has to offer though. The Honda Accord brings new engines to the road as well.
Change is in the wind for the 2018 model year. Perhaps most notably, the V6 engine leaves the lineup for good. Instead, drivers will have three engine options in the 2018 Accord.

At the top of the range is the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. That combination delivers an impressive 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, nearly putting it on par with the outgoing V6 engine.
The second new turbocharged engine comes in hot with a blazing 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. The 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine effectively replaces the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, bringing more power to the road.
There aren’t any plans for a plug-in hybrid Accord, but drivers will have the option of an advanced hybrid powertrain. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine comes with electric motors and a battery pack.
The new powertrains fit well with the 2018 Accord’s lower profile. Get ready to see what the 2018 Honda Accord has in store at Floyd Traylor Honda.
